For 30 minutes, Seo-jun and Tae-woo solved the puzzles created by the game company and advanced forward systematically.
The puzzles were clever and entertainingly constructed, and the viewers responded well to them.
Occasionally there were chats asking to see Tang Household’s secret projectile technique again, but he didn’t show it again.
It was dangerous sorcery that had to be sealed, at least during the advertisement.
“Damn.”
Ssss-sss-sss-sss-sss!
A dark shadow crawling up the walls below briefly revealed its presence before disappearing.
As if it were monitoring them.
There hadn’t been any jump-scare elements that suddenly appeared to startle them yet, but the game made you feel fear through these small details.
Only for Tae-woo, though.
“This is the last room.”
“Really?”
After solving the final puzzle, they arrived at the room they had come from earlier.
-How do you know that?
-Did you come here before?
-Huk. Streamer, please refrain from spoilers
-Lmao everyone’s gone crazy
When they crossed the door, a wide staircase stretched straight ahead to greet them, and when they climbed up the stairs, a normal interior space unfolded.
“We just need to find the protagonist.”
Seo-jun judged that this would be the end of this chapter.
This was exactly the room where they had looked for the protagonist through the ventilation duct gap.
So he had an intuition that he should go to the empty box he had seen earlier, and headed in that direction.
“Follow me.”
“Ugh. It feels like all the toys are watching us.”
The packaging boxes lined up on both sides were neatly displayed so you could see their contents at a glance.
And Seo-jun found the place he had spotted earlier and went toward that box.
“This is it.”
“Look closely over there. There’s a note inside.”
[If you want to find me, you’ll have to do what I was supposed to do.]
What the protagonist was supposed to do?
He had a good idea.
It was probably to deal with the presence that had been crawling around the walls all this time.
-Scary scary scary
-What are we supposed to do
-But why is it so rude? They’re your mom and dad
-For real lol
What he realized while progressing through the game was that the genre of the game within the game was action-adventure, and this world was a toy world.
And that the parts the developers couldn’t properly make were strangely filled in.
In other words.
Bang.
Something suddenly fell from the ceiling.
He could see the head of the doll he had seen earlier. The doll’s hair was sparsely growing out.
When he lowered his gaze, he saw a cylindrical torso attached directly under the head.
Pincer arms, and spider-like legs attached underneath.
A creepy-looking doll began slowly approaching them.
While clearly showing shark-like teeth.
Obviously they didn’t make it properly, so the rest turned out like that.
“Ah. Whoa… I really hate this.”
Tae-woo seemed to have fallen into panic.
[Run away!]
Running away was the objective this time.
Did difficulty not matter?
Seo-jun immediately ran toward the entrance.
“Movement speed is restricted.”
When he tried to run, his feet wouldn’t move. Shuffling steps were the maximum speed.
-Scary scary scary
-It looks terrifyingly ugly
-A chase scene? Damn
Click.
The entrance door was locked.
Seo-jun came back up the stairs.
Looking around.
“There’s a hole open over there.”
Seo-jun pointed to the entrance of a conveyor belt that was blatantly open on the wall face, telling them to come in.
“Hey, come over here.”
He called to Tae-woo, who was somehow avoiding the doll with shuffling steps.
Seo-jun waited for Tae-woo and entered the conveyor belt together.
“We can’t stop.”
Thunk, thunk, thunk, thunk!
That moving sound was concerning.
Fortunately, the passage wasn’t big enough for the doll to enter, but it was short.
The passage ended and they arrived at the huge space they had passed through earlier.
The conveyor belt that had been above them when they looked up while solving puzzles on their way here had now become their escape route.
“Keep going!”
Thunk, thunk, thunk!
The sound continued, and when Tae-woo looked back, he screamed.
“Ahhhhhhh! It’s coming! Hey, it’s coming! It’s coming!”
Seo-jun also glanced back while moving forward.
Grin.
Behind them was the doll, smiling menacingly while gradually closing the distance.
-Ah I jumped
-So fucking scary
-Ah….
-I was startled
Fortunately, a passage to the next room appeared just before they were caught by the doll, and they entered it.
Thunk, thunk, thunk!
But they couldn’t relax.
The sound of the doll moving continued tensely.
And that choice was correct.
“Maybe it can’t follow us here? Should we just stay here and keep going?”
Thunk, thunk!
Seo-jun chuckled and pointed behind him.
“I don’t think so? Don’t stop.”
“Ahhhhhhh!”
The doll was approaching them inside the passage, with its head twisted 90 degrees and squeezed in tightly.
This fit perfectly.
“The front is blocked! What do we do! Ahhhhh!”
Tae-woo put his hands against the wall in front and pushed hard while turning his head to look back.
He put more strength into his arms as he saw the gradually approaching doll.
But that wouldn’t open the door.
-LMAO
-His reactions are delicious lol
-His reactions are really fucking delicious lol
-Right now in Tae-woo’s field of vision, there’s nothing but the doll lol
That’s because what Tae-woo was pushing wasn’t a door but a wall.
“Turn left. Idiot.”
Nothing was visible in his panicked state, which the viewers loved.
When Seo-jun left Tae-woo behind and went left, Tae-woo’s survival instincts must have kicked in because he followed Seo-jun despite everything.
The passage ended and they entered the next room.
And the doll also squeezed out of the passage and began approaching them rapidly again.
It was indeed a chase sequence.
The sound of thunk, thunk, thunk, thunk could be heard, and Seo-jun felt the doll’s speed was incredibly fast.
Fast enough that it should have caught up to them long ago.
Tae-woo checked behind again and expressed confusion.
“It disappeared?”
“Hey, look ahead.”
“Ahhhhhhh!”
It seemed the doll had moved through the bottom or sides of the conveyor belt walls, caught up to them, and climbed back onto the conveyor belt where they were standing.
This was just like the creature that had been constantly crawling around the dark wall surfaces, making its presence known.
Tae-woo froze with his mouth wide open at the doll that suddenly appeared in front of him.
The doll grinned eerily and charged forward.
And Seo-jun grabbed the back of Tae-woo’s neck, who had stopped moving, and jumped to the right down the path that led out.
-LMAO really fucking funny lol
-The streamer does flinch a bit when he makes eye contact with the doll, but watching Tae-woo makes him relax
-Can someone really be that scared lmao
-Ha, delicious LOL
Tae-woo’s survival instincts worked well this time too.
After Seo-jun pulled him, he managed not to lose his balance and started shuffling and running again.
After passing through another passage, another room appeared.
Seo-jun quickly assessed and shouted.
“From the left!”
The doll was trying to come out of the passage behind them but seemed slightly stuck and couldn’t come out immediately.
And the entrance ahead was closed. There were no side paths either.
Then they needed something to open that entrance, and the only suspicious things were the screens hanging in mid-air at some distance, blocking their view.
He needed Tae-woo’s help.
Tae-woo operated his air gun with trembling hands, and the screen was lifted by the wind’s force.
Seo-jun loaded his nail gun and hit all 4 buttons—2 on each side—while moving, and then the door in front opened.
The final room was also closed.
This time was a puzzle where Tae-woo had to go first and change the trajectory.
However.
“This is my specialty.”
In the tense situation where they had to finish before the doll came out of the narrow passage again, Seo-jun knew a faster way to end it.
-Oh oh, he said he wouldn’t use it again
-The streamer said he wouldn’t use it, but took it out after 30 minutes lol
-Using shortcuts again lol
-If you’re jealous, you should use it too
Without Tae-woo needing to move first, Seo-jun just needed to load and it would be over.
They leisurely entered the final passage, and after exiting that passage, they reached some interior space.
Was the chase sequence over?
“Whoa shit. Seo-jun, really thank you. Really.”
Tae-woo relaxed.
-The streamer hard carried lol
-For real lol
-Felt sorry for his friend so he carried him
-Is this the end?
-Ugh but that was really scary….
It definitely had overwhelming tension.
The footstep sounds that made the fleeing them aware they were being chased, and the fear of turning back to see the scary-looking doll approaching must have been considerable.
Actually, Tae-woo screamed in surprise every time he looked.
But is this really the end?
Just then.
Thunk, thunk, thunk, thunk.
-Huh?
-??
-…Hey, this isn’t right
“Ah, please.”
Contrary to Tae-woo’s wishes, the doll burst out of the passage they had come from and stuck its face right up to them.
* * *
They died.
They were reborn in the place where toys were piled up.
Tae-woo despaired at this fact.
“Do this again? I won’t do it. No, I can’t do it. It’s really fucking scary.”
Meanwhile, Seo-jun thought about what had gone wrong and realized.
He should have closed the door next to the passage.
There seemed to have been a control panel. It was a blunder.
Actually no. He knew, but Tae-woo was so scared that he deliberately didn’t close it because he wanted to do it one more time.
Seo-jun smiled wickedly and said.
“Come on, let’s do it again and finish it.”
“Sigh… Fine, let’s go. Ah, I really hate this.”
They went toward the protagonist’s box again to start the chase sequence.
Bang!
The doll fell from above and Tae-woo flinched slightly, but since there was time now, he took a deep breath and slowly walked toward the conveyor belt.
But when he looked to the side, his friend was doing something strange.
“Seo-jun, what are you doing?”
Seo-jun was now standing facing the opposite direction and walking backward.
In other words, he was facing the doll.
“Ah. The viewers were too scared, so I thought I’d try running while constantly watching. The speed seems manageable.”
So now.
He was going to run backward while facing it?
“What about the path?”
“I memorized it all.”
“What about the gimmicks?”
“Same.”
Seo-jun grinned leisurely.
“What. You want to try too?”
“Really… Crazy bastard.”
* * *
Eventually.
-Can you really do what veterans do after seeing it once? Yes, apparently you can LOL
-Going backward lmao
-Why are you shooting nails when there’s no damage LOL
-Suddenly went from horror to comedy lol
-Looking at it like this constantly… that doll might be cute?
Thunk, thunk, thunk, thunk!
“Tae-woo. I told you not to look back?”
“I can’t help it!”
Glance.
“Ahhhhh!”
Tae-woo kept turning around on his own and screaming.
On the other hand, Seo-jun walked backward while making eye contact, even greeting when their eyes met, and when he had time, he’d try shooting nails at the doll’s head while performing the gimmicks.
The stark contrast between the two in this chase sequence was uploaded to the community under the title “A Game’s Newbie and Veteran 3 Hours After Release.”
And it became a huge topic of discussion.
